HELLO

my name is Susan

I practice intuitive energy healing. I’m also a wildlife documentary filmmaker. I host inspirational life retreats on the land where I live in the wilds of the Cascade Mountains of southern BC and I’ve just finished writing my first book.

I see people as emotional/spiritual beings who are meant to be evolving to higher frequencies of emotional energy.

I grew up in a small log home on the edge of the BC wilderness.

I had lots of pets and I loved animals. We had many wild animals around our home, sometimes bears would get on our roof and look in our bedroom windows. It was from this very young age that I learned to feel so happy and comfortable with animals and nature. I met Jeff, my husband, when I was 15 and we became high school sweethearts. Jeff made Super- 8 films and I started helping him and acting in them. They were mostly science fiction and thriller themes.

We decided that we would like to make a career in wildlife documentary filmmaking. We bought and old 16mm film camera and headed to Alaska and the arctic to film bears and caribou. After many years of adventures, no money and sleepless nights, we started to find success in this business. We got our first real job filming and producing films for the CBC with the series called The Nature of things. We made a film for them about Grizzly Bears and we found that we loved living in the wilderness and working with bears. In this film we highlighted the Khutzeymateen Valley on the north coast of British Columbia in Canada, that needed to be protected from logging. The film helped to establish this place as the first grizzly bear sanctuary in Canada.

We then went on to make the first film about the legendary Spirit (white) bear. We spent two years living on a remote coastal island with them. The film was also instrumental in helping to protect areas of their rainforest home. After that we lived in the northern boreal forests filming wolves and buffalo in the wilderness of Wood Buffalo National Park. That was an amazing wilderness where we worked around packs of wolves of up to 35 individuals.

During these films we brought our daughter Chelsea and son Logan into the picture. They both lived with us in the wilderness from the time they were 5-6 months old. Our children took their schooling by correspondence and we continued to travel and make films as a family. Because many of our films were made for the BBC we spent quite a bit of time each year during post production in England. During the editing of one of our films, I met a beautiful, elderly women named Hazel who was our neighbour. Hazel had cancer and during this time I unexpectedly started having a lot of experiences with Spirit and was told to do energy healing on Hazel. I had no previous interest in this or understanding of what it meant but the message from Spirit was so strong and insistent that I could not ignore it. Hazel who had lived in India for much of her life, had worked with mystics and healers there and helped me to understand what was happening. I did my first energy healing work on Hazel and had miraculous results on her pain and other symptoms.

RETREATS

Connecting to Earth and Spirit

Our Wild Heart, Spirit Heart retreats offer a beautiful, private wilderness setting with all the comforts of home. It’s a place to reconnect to your true self– a place to be inspired and rejuvenated.

My life changed from that moment on.

After leaving England I continued this new part of my life, but all of this was so strange and foreign to me that I kept it hidden from most of the people in my life. This was not something that I had sought out or had any experience with in the previous 40 years of my life. It felt very different for me. I struggled to understand and accept what was happening.

I would get the message to work on different people and would swear them to secrecy so that this part of my life wouldn’t get out. I had many questions and often wondered if this energy healing was a real thing or not but time after time people would experience what could only be described as miraculous results from the energy that came through my hands to their bodies. So I carried on. People with cancerous tumors, depression, herniated discs in their backs, and all manner of other ailments would be transformed by the healing that was coming through me. For the next decade or so I worked in secret, healing friends and friends of friends and slowly began to understand more and more of what was going on.

My connection to the spirit realm was also deepening. I began to write and through my connection to spirit, messages would come through. Also I began to get messages from spirits during healing sessions and many times these would help my patients heal. In the beginning I was totally focused just on the physical aspects of healing but over the years have begun to understand the importance of healing emotionally and spiritually before physical healing can really take place.

I have never charged anyone money for the healing that I do. I have never felt comfortable with the idea of this exchange happening between me and my patients to involve money.  I am fortunate that Jeff and I continue to make films and that this journey I am on is not about a way to make a living. I continue to offer what I can to people that need my help free of charge. My wish is that they can understand the broader message of what the energy of spirit and nature can tell us about the deeper reality of the universe that we live in.

My hope is that you can find something of value in the messages and gifts that I have received from the world of nature and the world of spirit that I have been living with throughout my life. I am continuing my healing work and building space around me where people can come to be inspired and rejuvenated and discover the true potential of their lives.  I released my first book in 2020 about my life and journey so far called “Wild Heart, Spirit Heart.” In those pages and here on this website and through my blogs I will share whatever I have experienced and learned over the past 20 years of this wild ride I have been on.

Much love and light,

Susan Turner
